Veterans Day Pasta Dinner event of 2023

Join us on November 11 for a special evening of unity and celebration at St. Michael's Orthodox Church! We are thrilled to announce our inaugural Annual Veterans Day Pasta Dinner, a heartwarming event open to the entire St. Michael's Church family and friends. This Pasta Dinner serves not only as a delightful family gathering but also as a means for us to give back to our community.

This community-wide Pasta Dinner is not just about food; it's about coming together, sharing stories, and building connections. It's an opportunity to "break bread" with our neighbors, fostering a sense of togetherness. As part of our fundraising efforts, we are hosting a raffle featuring themed baskets and generous gift cards donated by both our parishioners and local businesses. Your participation in these activities helps us support our community even further.

Each meal is available for a contribution of just $12, which includes a Pasta Dinner, salad, dessert, and a refreshing drink. This donation will reserve your dinner of a Pasta Dinner. You can choose to dine in at our welcoming church hall or take your meal to-go, as per your preference.

You can pre-purchase your dinner tickets at the church on Monday and Thurs from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. or online. E-TICKETS

Deadline to purchase your dinner ticket(s) is November 4th.

Don't miss your chance to win fantastic prizes! Raffle tickets can be obtained with a donation of $1 per ticket, 12 tickets for $10, 25 tickets for $20, or 60 tickets for $40. You can purchase these tickets at the event entrance.

This is a non-secular event that allows us to honor and celebrate our veterans, our cherished community, and the entire St. Michael's Orthodox Church family. We eagerly anticipate sharing this memorable evening with you and your loved ones.

What is the Orthodox Church?

“The Orthodox Christian Church is evangelical, but not Protestant.
It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman.
It is not denominational, it is pre-denominational.
It has believed, taught, preserved, defended, and died for the
Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost nearly 2,000 years ago.”
– Our Life in Christ

The Mission of The Orthodox Church in America, the local autocephalous Orthodox Christian Church, is to be faithful in fulfilling the commandment of Christ to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

More Information >

The Holy Scripture is a collection of books written over multiple centuries by those inspired by God to do so. It is the primary witness to the Orthodox Christian faith, within Holy Tradition and often described as its highest point. It was written by the prophets and apostles in human language, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and collected, edited, and canonized by the Church.

Daily Readings >

Holiness or sainthood is a gift (charisma) given by God to man, through the Holy Spirit. Man's effort to become a participant in the life of divine holiness is indispensable, but sanctification itself is the work of the Holy Trinity, especially through the sanctifying power of Jesus Christ, who was incarnate, suffered crucifixion, and rose from the dead, in order to lead us to the life of holiness, through the communion with the Holy Spirit.
